The Council of College and Military Educators Spouse Scholarships (CCMEMSSP) are awarded to spouses of U.S. Servicemembers (active duty, National Guard and Reserve) to attend post secondary or graduate school.
Each award is in the amount of $500 and may be used for tuition, fees, books and other expenses incurred while pursuing educational goals. The CCMEMSSP is a need-based education assistance program designed to provide military spouses with financial assistance in pursuing educational goals. The purpose of the program is to assist spouses in gaining the education required to allow them to qualify for increased occupational opportunities.
• a Spouse of U.S. Servicemember (active duty, National Guard and Reserve)
• pursuing a Associate, Bachelor, or Graduate Degree program
• attending a regionally or nationally accredited academic institution
• have a minimum 3.0 GPA
• Those who are awarded scholarships must submit evidence that they are enrolled in an approved school and should submit a letter of acceptance from an accredited university, college to CCME scholarship committee.
• College or University transcripts (unofficial transcripts will be accepted), but must be verified by local military installation Education Specialist Officer (ESO).
• Two (2) letters of recommendation to be completed by persons unrelated
to you, who will attest to your motivation, character, and integrity. One of the two letters must be from the local military installation ESO.
• A scanned copy (front and back) of current picture U.S. military ID card (DD Form 1173)
