The Council of College and Military Educators (CCME) is pleased to offer scholarships each year to United States Servicemembers working towards the completion of higher education degrees. All U.S. Servicemembers working on Associate, Bachelor or Master Degrees are eligible to apply. All applicants must have completed basic training or Officer Candidate School. Each award is in the amount of $500 and may be used for tuition, fees, books and other expenses incurred while pursuing educational goals.
All applicants must submit the CCME Scholarship Application (a link for online submission is below), and an essay on the following topic:
"Explain your educational experience in an environment that is embracing our heroes as they shape our world and is important to you"
Essays will be judged on written content and writing skills, and should be from 200 to 300 words in length. Applications that are incomplete or are from individuals who do not qualify will not be considered.
Eligibility:
To be eligible for a CCME Scholarship, applicants must:
-be a uniformed U. Servicemember, Active or Reserves

Applicants who are finalists will be contacted. Each finalist must:

Note: This scholarship is open only to U.S. Servicemembers who have completed Basic Military Training or Officer Candidate School. If you are not sure of your status contact Doug Barr before submitting the application.
The Scholarship committee will consider each completed application for all available scholarships.
Awardees will be notified of the committee’s decision by December 1, 2008. Due to the volume of applications, we regret that we are unable to notify all applicants of their status.
