The nominations deadline is November 15, 2008
CCME is accepting nominations for officers to serve on our executive board for the next two years. You may nominate yourself or someone else. We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals with a variety of skills who are able to commit two years to help plan up-coming symposia and to tackle issues involving military education. The offices with their duties and requirements are below:
PRESIDENT-ELECT
- Must be available to assume CCME leadership in the absence of the President
- Must be willing to assume responsibility of preparing the program for the up-coming 2010 symposium
- Must be available to serve as President the year after serving as President-Elect, conducting all board meetings and the general symposium for 2011
- Serves in any other capacity requested by the President.
- Must have attended at least two CCME symposia within the past three years.
- Must currently work in military voluntary education.
- Serves as the liaison between CCME and the service chiefs for voluntary education issues on behalf of CCME
- Performs duties of the President-Elect in the absence of the President-Elect when the office is held by a military representative
- Performs the duties of planning and coordinationn of CCME Conference Agenda Planning with the VP of Institutions to prepare a draft outline of conference agenda items
- Acts as liaison to ACE, SOC, and DANTES with the VP for Institutiions as it relates to current military educational issues.
SECRETARY-ELECT:
- Takes minutes of the Board meetings. Prepares and sends them to the Board members.
- Assumes Secretarial duties the second year, publicizing quarterly newsletters
- Serves in any other capacity requested by the President
We encourage you to run and/or nominate someone for these positions. If you self-nominate, please include a picture and a brief bio with your nomination. If you are nominated by someone else, you will be notified and asked if you wish to accept the nomination. If you accept, you will need to provide a picture and a brief bio for the symposium program.
